VINTAGE 2014 is a multimedia documentary set in Santa Barbara County, California, during the 2014 wine grape growing season, marked by historic drought and treacherous heat spikes.
The crowd-funded project brings together cinematographers, visual artists, musicians and writers using modern technology to give voice to wine growers through a unique sensory experience.
VINTAGE 2014 uses widely adopted cross-platform technologies to tell eye-opening stories through short films, podcasts and photo essays. Time lapse video, macro photography and grape vine leaf pressings create an appreciation for the plant that is often forgotten once wine is in the glass.
Live events across the country offer a full sensory experience, combining a series of three short films that span the vintage with wine tasting intermissions.
